Parents are among UCLA’s most invested stakeholders, yet many units are missing the opportunity to engage them as philanthropic partners.

As UCLA enters the silent phase of the next campaign, now is the time to begin cultivating high-capacity parents, most of whom are not alumni and represent a largely untapped prospect pool. Engaging these families early in their student’s UCLA journey can lead to impactful support for your unit and the university.

We’ll also address common hurdles, misconceptions and provide resources to help you confidently and effectively engage Bruin families.

This session will equip you with:

  • A compelling case for parent giving
  • Tools to identify and prioritize high-capacity parent prospects
  • Sample outreach language and discovery questions
  • Strategies for early engagement, stewardship, and long-term cultivation
  • Real-life examples and success stories from across campus
